Bloomington – Payments from the state have been slow to arrive at the MetCom 911 center in McLean County.
The county board has had to increase the amount of money they send to support the center.
McLean County Board member Carlo Robustelli said he’s concerned about the state’s lack of ability to pass a budget.
“I’m generally very concerned,” said Robustelli. “I think and in the end I certainly would support whatever it takes to keep the 911 line open. I think that’s an absolute need in our community.”
Illinois has been without a budget for a year.
If a budget is not passed by July first, all payments from the state will cease.
