NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) — All six of the shooting victims from Sunday’s shooting in Normal are in stable condition, according to police.
“The Normal Police Department continues to actively investigate the shooting incident that occurred on March 22, 2026. The most recent information obtained in this investigation indicates all victims are currently in stable condition,” spokesman Brad Park said.
Park said the six victims were from Peoria, Bloomington, Normal, and Chicago. All of them were under 20. Below is the list of ages and hometowns.
- 17-year-old male from Bloomington
- 17-year-old male from Peoria
- 18-year-old female from Normal
- 19-year-old male from Bloomington
- 18-year-old male from Bloomington
- 19-year-old female from Chicago
He said they are still seeking the public’s assistance with the investigation.
“If you were in attendance, live nearby, or were traveling through the area at the time, we ask that you review any potential evidence you may have,” he said.
Officers with the Normal Police Department were called at 2:40 a.m. on March 22 to the 700 block of Franklin Avenue to a report of a shooting, said Park
When officers arrived, they found two men, two women, and two children with apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and took them to the hospital, Park said.
He said the shooting occurred outside in a parking lot.
According to a Facebook post by the Illinois State University Police Department, two of the victims are ISU students.

No further information was made available, and no arrests have been made public as of Tuesday morning.
