OGLESBY – It’s been a record wet month in the state and that comes with some costs, including limiting some parking and access to the state’s most popular park.
Starved Rock State Park is dealing with high water and with that comes restrictions, according to Illinois Department of Natural Resources Spokesman Chris Young.
“The water on the Illinois River is fairly high right now and it may affect some of the places we park cars in the lower potion of the park,” Young said.
If you have reservations at the lodge or are expected there for an event access won’t be limited.
Young advised those wanting to visit to come earlier in the day and check IDNR’s social media for updates.
