A teenager and three adults arrested in Bloomington over the holiday weekend

BLOOMINGTON – Four people were detained by the police and are now being charged with several offenses.

In response to a report of shots fired, officers were summoned to the 1400 block of West Graham street on November 23rd, at 5:30 p.m. The first arrest was made at that time.

A 17-year-old male was arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.

On November 24th, following a vehicle stop close to the intersection of Wood and Bunn Street, police made another arrest. The car’s passenger, Christopher Simmons, stepped out and took off.

Police arrested him after discovering a gun on him. Simmons was taken into custody for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Resisting.

Police stopped a car in the 900 block of North Main Street on Saturday. A loaded gun was discovered by police after a K-9 conducted a free air sniff. The driver, Rafiqa Sibley, was jailed for Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Police arrested Trevor Kelly early  Monday morning for Great Bodily Harm Battery to an Unborn Child and a Pregnant Woman.

When the police arrived to the 900 block of Maple Hill Road, they discovered numerous instances of domestic violence. Kelly locked himself into a home on Betty Drive almost four hours after police arrived.

He was later taken into custody without a incident. Kelly is charged on various items.
