BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington’s mayor is expected to announce his re-election bid at a press conference Wednesday.
“Tomorrow I’m going to be making an announcement in the heart of downtown Bloomington in front of our Route 66 Visitors Center,” said Mayor Tari Renner. “It’s a great anchor in our downtown. And so I’ll be making an important announcement, I think, tomorrow.”
Renner was elected in April 2013, after winning a three-way race between himself, Lex Green and John Hanson. Renner took the place of Steve Stockton, who chose not to run for re-election after serving two terms as Bloomington’s mayor.
