BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington woman who is serving an eight-year prison sentence for child endangerment is fighting to keep custody of her daughter who was born shortly before she went to prison.
McLean County prosecutors have filed a petition to permanently remove the soon to be 1-year-old girl from the custody of Danielle Bagley and her husband Kam Bagley. Danielle Bagley, formerly Danielle Fischer, pleaded guilty last year to child endangerment in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son Robbie Cramer in 2013. Her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Compton, was sentenced to life in prison for beating the boy to death.
A judge has set an Oct. 25 trial date on the parental rights case.
