Saturday was the 2016 St. Jude Telethon on WEEK-TV, which hoped to raise money for children in need of care.
The run raised a total of $9,832,035 for the children of St. Jude.
The Memphis to Peoria runners raised a total of $1,050,226, while the 39 separate runs raised a total of $5,061,226.
The Bloomington portion airing from the Shirk Center raised $2,756,703.
Runs that were in the area were found in Bloomington, Minonk, Champaign, Decatur, Lincoln, Monticello, and Eureka.
