SPRINGFIELD – Nearly a year after the last corn dog was sold, it looks like some vendors for the 2015 State Fair will finally get paid.
The stopgap Illinois budget is expected to lead to overdue payments but it’s not clear how soon $1.6 million in overdue vendor payments will be made. The stopgap budget also sets aside $6.4 million dollars for this years fair.
The 2016 Illinois State Fair is scheduled Aug. 11-21.
