WASHINGTON D.C.- A long night for Democrats in the house as they pulled a sit in to protest the lack of approval on gun control bills.
Illinois’ 13th District US Congressman Rodney Davis says the sit in was against house rules and should not have happened.
Davis says law enforcement needs to enforce the current laws on the books regarding guns. However, he says the Orlando shooter and other terrorists don’t care about our laws.
“I just don’t think that there is any law that we can pass that a terrorist cares about,” said Davis. “And this Mr. Mateen was obviously a radical Islamic terrorist and terrorists don’t whether or not they have a FOID card.”
Davis says terrorists will lie on applications and use stolen weapons to carry out acts of violence.
