A vigil for the Orlando shooting victims is planned for tonight in Bloomington.
Dave Bentlin of the Prairie Pride Coalition is helping organize the vigil and says issues facing the LGBTQ community must be discussed.
“We’ll talk about this incident for a few days, but if the talk ends after a few days that gunman will have succeeded in what he wanted to do,” Bentlin said. “We cannot allow ourselves to be silenced on these issues.”
Those attending are asked to gather at the Bistro in downtown Bloomington at 7:00 tonight and the group will move to nearby Withers Park for a short program.
