NORMAL – The threat of rain has prompted organizers to move the National Walking Day event at Illinois State University inside.
It was to be held at ISU’s Quad on Wednesday, but walkers will now gather on the concourse at Redbird Arena at 11:45 a.m.
The first 100 walkers to complete a lap will get a free Subway sandwich. Participants can win other prizes such as a Subway gift card and a FitBit from TechZone by completing other activities. The event is sponsored by the American Heart Association and ISU’s Health Promotion and Wellness.
