SAYBROOK – McLean County Sheriff’s police say a driver is OK after his truck hit a train in Saybrook.
The driver reportedly suffered a cut on his head, but refused medical treatment. following the crash which was reported to police at 9:36 a.m. The Norfolk Southern train hit the vehicle and pushed it down the tracks along West Lincoln Street. Police say all train crossings in Saybrook are closed for the time being while the police remain on scene.
Illinois State Police are also on scene of a truck-versus-SUV crash on Route 136 south of LeRoy. Initial reports say at least one person was taken to the hospital.
