BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts will open registration on March 31 for the Community Gardens for Bloomington residents only.
Proof of residency, such as a drivers license, state ID or tax bill, will be required. Non-resident registration will begin on April 1.
The garden plots are located on the southwest corner of Hershey and Ireland Grove roads. The city will have 45 plots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
There will be eight 12 by 30 feet plots for $25.00 each and 37 plots which are 25 by 30 feet available for $50.00 each. The plots will be plowed prior to opening.
Renters are responsible for any additional soil preparation. Water is available at the site.
