BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for robbing a cigarette shop in January of last year.
Larry Bridges, 27, pleaded guilty to a charge of armed robbery and was given credit for a year of time already served.
Bloomington Police said Bridges was one of three people accused of robbing the Cigarette Express at 502 N. Prospect Road at gunpoint. The men were later found selling the cigarettes they stole at a nearby apartment complex.
Antonio Rivera of Bloomington is serving a 14 year sentence for his role in the robbery. Another suspect, Michael Dopson of Rockford, is still pending trial.
