BLOOMINGTON – The suicide of a friend of family member might not always be a surprise.
Mark Benson of Real Change Clinical Services says the person may take drastic measures before committing the final act.
“We also know that a lot of people will start to practice,” said Benson. “They may start to cut on their wrists or something like that or they may buy a gun and say if there was ever a point in my life where I was going to kill myself I would do this and they start to give clues or cues.”
Benson says you should tell everyone about 2-1-1. It’s ran by PATH – a local organization to help the mentally ill.
