Charles Chapman
Charles Dale Chapman, 82, of Chenoa, died Nov. 19, at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bloomington.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m., Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chenoa; with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa; with full military rites accorded by Chenoa VFW Post 8350 and Ben Roth American Legion Post 234.
Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral also at the church on Monday. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chenoa.
Dale was born Dec. 11, 1932 in Bloomington the son of Charles M. and Leona M. (Schade)Chapman. He married Patricia Whalen in September of 1956 in Chenoa. She survives in Chenoa.
Other survivors include one son, Steven (Deborah) Chapman of Chenoa; one daughter, Susan (David) Robb of Bloomington; one grandson, Rick (Cayce) Chapman of St. Charles, Mo.; three step granddaughters, Michelle Korth of Peoria; Heidi Golden and Lacey Duncan both of Elmwood; four great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Merle F. Chapman.
Dale served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was raised with his twin brother Merle in Chenoa; and graduated from Chenoa High School in 1950. Dale will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Alan Penn
Alan C. Penn, 31, of Normal, died at 11:05 a.m., Nov. 18 at his home.
His memorial Mass will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal with Rev. Eric Powell officiating. Burial will be in HolyCrossCemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 11:30-1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the church.
Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is in assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marybeth Penn Scholarship Fund at HeartlandCommunity College or to Epiphany Catholic Church.

Alan was born July 24, 1984 in Monmouth, the son of Donald J. and Beth L. Poland Penn.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Beth Penn of Normal; two sisters, Jonelle (Scott) Galuska of Colorado Springs, CO, Lorelei (Phil) Jackson of Fayetteville, N.C., five brothers, Deron (Lori) Penn of Hudson, Barry (Jeannie) Penn of Stanford, Randall (Tiffany) Penn of Bloomington, Brendon (Barbara) Penn of Bloomington and Justin Penn of Normal; and 27 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, a sister, Marybeth Penn and a brother, RyonPenn.
Alan graduated from NormalCommunityHigh School. He worked as an auto mechanic and was ASE Certified.
Alan was a computer enthusiast, an amateur inventor and loved music.
