BLOOMINGTON – Two adults were taken to the hospital after a fire on West Jackson Street in Bloomington early Friday morning.
The Bloomington Fire Department was called to 711 W. Jackson St. just after 4:40 a.m. The department said three adults were inside at the time of the fire. They were able to escape the building.
The Normal Fire Department was called to assist in extinguishing the fire.
Fire officials said the flames caused smoke and fire damage throughout the building’s second floor. The damage was estimated at $60,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
