Margery Eyer, 87, of Colfax, passed away at 12:15 p.m., Aug. 22, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax. Pastor Connie Frase will be officiating.
Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of the donor’s choice.
Margery was born May 5, 1928, in Anchor the daughter of Roy and Bertha Klintworth Hinrichsen.
She married Harold Eyer on Nov. 22, 1952 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Anchor. He passed away on Feb. 28, 2009.
Surviving are her son Mike (Rona) Eyer of Bloomington; daughter, Kay (Terry) Bose of Anchor; grandchildren Nikki (Tony) DeBaillie of Lynn Center, Tony (Erica) Eyer of Aurora, Colo., Lindsay (Aaron) Reynolds of Lansing, MI, Emily Eyer of Bloomington, and Dana Bose of Anchor; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kallie and Chloe DeBaillie and Berlin Eyer; sister, Gladys (Chet) Eyer of Anchor.
Margery was a bookkeeper for Wichman Hardware in Anchor and a bank teller at Anchor State Bank. She was also a homemaker and farmed with her husband in the Anchor area.
Mrs. Eyer was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Anchor. She also attended Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax and Resurrection Lutheran Church, Bloomington.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and baking. She also enjoyed attending sporting events and visiting daily with her many friends with the Anchor Coffee Group.
Margery resided at The Blair House, Normal from November 2014 until May 2015. She currently was a resident at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.

Sandra Elder
Sandra J. Elder, 55, of Normal, died at 5:38 p.m., Aug. 23 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Burke_ officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, Bloomington. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
Sandra was born June 19, 1960 in Bloomington, the daughter of Glenn E. and Betty Jean Richerson Stappenbeck. She married Jeff Elder on April 28, 2001 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Betty Stappenbeck of Normal, a brother, Duane (Diana) Stappenbeck of McLean and two nephews, David and Darin Stappenbeck, both of Bloomington.
Sandra was a 1978 graduate of Normal Community High School and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Illinois State University. She worked for State Farm Insurance Company for over 15 years.
Sandra enjoyed singing and family get togethers.

Edna Rose Shouse, 68, of Congerville, died at 2:56 p.m. on Aug. 22 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. She was born Sep. 4, 1946 in Prairieville, Mo., daughter of Stanford and Glorzy Balsman Braun. She married James Shouse on Sep. 3, 1994 in Saline, Mo. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are three sons, John (Gidget) Glaub of Congerville, Edward (Casey) Glaub of Mattoon and Lenny (Pamela) Glaub of LeRoy; eight grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessy, Alex, Megan, Joshua, Macie, Teasha and Kerri. Also surviving are three sisters, Wilma Alberton of Peoria, Jeanette (Harvey) Roth of St. Mary, Mo. and Anna Mae (Merlin) Christsen of Prairieville, Mo. and one brother, Paul (Sylvia) Braun of St. Genevieve, Mo.
She worked as a construction laborer for Union Local 361, where she has worked in the Bloomington-Normal area.
Edna enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. She also loved animals, especially fond of her cat, Willie and her dog, Cricket.
Mildred A. Wahls, 93 of Chenoa died at 8:16 a.m., Aug. 23 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa; with Pastor Jeremy Latzke officiating. Interment will follow in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday also at the funeral home in Chenoa.
The family suggest memorials be directed to Chenoa Fire Department or St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chenoa.
Mrs. Wahls was born Jan. 19, 1922 in Lexington the daughter of Edward and Icie (Hardman) Leach. She married Eldon E. Wahls on April 9, 1944 in Lexington. Her husband preceded her in death on June 18, 2014.
Her parents, two sisters, Bernadine Moncelle and June Kiper, an infant brother, Clarke Leach and brother Delend Leach also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Greg (Sharon) Wahls of Chenoa; two grandchildren, David (Elizabeth) Wahls of Chenoa; and Dana (Joe) Harner of Seattle, Was.; one sister in-law, Charlotte Leach of Bloomington and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a 1940 graduate of Lexington High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chenoa and the McLean County Home Extension for over 50 years. She was a past member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Ladies Aid, Chenoa; Chenoa Garden Club; Royal Neighbors and the Rebekah Lodge both of Lexington.
Mildred enjoyed helping Eldon on the farm, her flower garden, quilting and helping others in need. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
