EUREKA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Woodford County Coroner’s Office has identified a man killed after a crash involving a semi in rural Eureka on Tuesday.
Stephen S. Barker, 73, died from “multiple blunt force injuries” due to the two-vehicle crash, said Coroner Tim Ruestman.
According to the coroner, he was called to the scene of the crash at U.S. Route 24 and North 1700 East Road.
Ruestman said Barker was traveling westbound on Route 24 when he collided with a semi-tractor-trailer in the westbound lane.
The incident remains under investigation by the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department and the coroner’s office.
