PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A Peoria man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having drugs and guns at his home after it was raided by police.
Matthew C. Smith, 46, was booked into the Peoria County Jail on a slew of charges, including armed violence, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, and for allegedly possessing a weapon as a felon, said Semone Roth, a Peoria police spokeswoman.
Just after 4 p.m., June 9, officers, armed with a search warrant, searched Smith’s home in the 3200 block of North Wisconsin Avenue. They allegedly found two guns, suspected illegal drugs and drug-related paraphernalia, Roth said.
As of mid-day Wednesday, Smith has not been formally charged in Peoria County Circuit Court.
