PAXTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A McLean County man was sentenced to three years in prison Tuesday for secretly videotaping women and children in the bathroom of his former workplace in Ford County in 2025.
WCIA’s partners at The Ford County Chronicle reported that 31-year-old Jared D. Clark of Colfax was facing 12 counts of unauthorized videotaping after being accused of filming six females between the ages of 10 and 64 in the women’s restroom of the store he formerly worked at in Gibson City.
This allegedly happened between April 5 and June 17, 2025, and the Gibson City Police Department arrested him at a later date. In court on Dec. 8, 2025 — which was set to be a pre-trial hearing — Clark entered a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Three counts of unauthorized videotaping; Class 4 felonies
- Two counts of unlawful videotaping of a victim under the age of 18; Class 3 felonies
- One count of videotaping another person’s intimate parts; a Class 4 felony
As a result of the plea, the remaining six counts of unauthorized videotaping Clark was facing were dismissed.
Clark was officially sentenced on Tuesday, and the time in prison he was sentenced to is as follows:
- Three years each for both counts of unlawful videotaping of a victim under the age of 18
- Two years and six months each for the three counts of unauthorized videotaping and the count of videotaping another person’s intimate parts
Because these sentences will be served concurrently, Clark will ultimately be spending three years behind bars.
