Cardinals, CornBelters on WJBC airwaves

BLOOMINGTON – The St. Louis Cardinals continue their key three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates at Busch Stadium tonight when a pair of the top pitchers in the league squaring off.

The Cardinals will send Michael Wacha to the mound while the Pirates will counter with Gerrit Cole. The pre-game show starts at 6:20 on WJBC 1230 AM with the first pitch at 7:16.

Wacha will be looking to match Cole’s National League-leading victory total of 14. Wacha has a 13-4 record with a 2.92 earned run average and hasn’t allowed a run in his last 14 innings in two starts. He has a 1-0 mark and 1.42 ERA against the Pirates in two starts this season.

Cole counters with a 14-5 record and a 2.39 earned run average.
