NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) — The McLean County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Twin Cities showcase, featuring over 100 different businesses in the area.
The showcase had business from all over the Twin Cities, offering many different services or products to the community. This free showcase was a chance for those businesses to connect with the community and share what they have to offer to them.
“We love this event because it’s an opportunity to really meet with the community and meet face to face and show what you do,” said Madison Noble, marketing and communications manager for the McLean County Chamber of Commerce. ”It’s great if you have a location and people can come in all the time and do some of that face-to-face networking and get to know you.”
“This is an opportunity for people who might not have a business that has a specific location or has a new service that they want to offer. And this is really an opportunity to advertise and bring awareness.”
This is the chamber’s biggest business expo of the year, and it was the first time it was hosted at CEFCU Arena in Normal. CEFCU also sponsored the event. They hope that with the new space, they can expand in the coming years.
“We are very excited to see the continued growth next year. We’re hoping to offer a lot more businesses to be on the floor, maybe businesses on the concourse. We are super excited for the opportunity to grow,” Noble said.
Restaurants at the showcase also gave out samples for the community to try, which was sponsored by Chestnut Health Systems.
