BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — Grammy Award-winning artist Trisha Yearwood set a new record at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday.
The March 19 show, Trisha Yearwood: The Mirror Tour Acoustic, set the new single-show gross sales record, said Gina Volk, the Arts & Entertainment Marketing Manager for the city of Bloomington.
The sold-out show generated $115,000 in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing single event in the venue’s history, Volk said.
Volk said Yearwood offered the audience a personal concert experience that showcased her vocals and storytelling skills.
“It was another capstone moment to welcome Trisha Yearwood to the BCPA. Fans were in attendance from all over Illinois and several other states around the country,” said Mike Wilcott, Assistant Director of Arts & Entertainment for the City of Bloomington. “Having an artist of her caliber and being able to celebrate another sold-out show speaks to the continuous growth we have been enjoying at the BCPA over the past couple of years.”
More information on upcoming shows is available on the BCPA’s website.
