NORMAL – A man will be arraigned Friday on charges stemming from an alleged incident of domestic abuse.
Terron Herron, 22, of Normal was arrested July 1 after police were called to the 700 block of Towanda Ave. Normal Police Chief Rick Bleichner said Herron was also arrested on a charge of defacing the serial number of the handgun.
“Anytime there appears to be an intent to tamper with or deface anything on the firearm that would interfere with the markings that would identify the serial number or anything like that, then that’s deemed to be a crime,” Bleichner said.
Herron is accused of threatening a woman with the handgun and then striking her with it.
