EL PASO, Ill. (WMBD) — An El Paso man was arrested by the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office accused of sharing child pornography.
Members of the sheriff’s office’s Pro-Active Unit arrested George W. Lefler early Sunday morning and took him to the Woodford County Jail on charges of aggravated child pornography dissemination, said Sheriff Matt Lane.
He said that Lefler allegedly spread the child pornography on social media apps.
The arrest and investigation was made by the county’s “predator team” who focuses on internet crimes against children, the county’s top lawman said.
Lefler remains in the Tazewell County Jail as of Monday morning.
