Bernadine Hilton
Bernadine A. Hilton, 92, of Normal, passed away at 6:45 a.m., June 11 at Heritage Health in Normal.
Following Bernadine’s wishes, a private family graveside service was held at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, Rev. Jeffery Windy officiated. Bernadine was born July 30, 1922 in Bloomington, the daughter of Thomas and Addie Langhoff Fitzgerald. She married Iverson “Ivy” Hilton on June 12, 1947 in Bloomington. He died on Oct. 2, 1987.
Survivors include a son, Tom (Sandie) Hilton of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Amanda (Bart) Bittner of Heyworth and Blaise Hilton of New York, N.Y.; three great-grandchildren, Beau Michael, Benjamin William and Tessa Kay Bittner, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Fitzgerald and an infant sister.
Bernadine graduated from Bloomington High School and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She worked 27 years at General Telephone Co., retiring in 1973.
