Gary Ray Danison, 53, of Normal, passed away at 7:35 a.m., June 14 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington from a pulmonary embolism.
His memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. Jonathan Wright officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Gary was born May 19, 1962 in Lincoln, the son of Gary Leon and Carolyn Sue Randl Danison.
Gary is survived by his parents of Normal; his brother, Rob (Gail) Danison of Auxvasse, Mo.; his sister, Kayla Usherwood of Normal; his nephew, Aaron Danison of St. Louis, St. Louis, Mo.; his niece, Mariah (Jesse) McKee of Auxvasse, Mo., his niece, Shelby Usherwood of Normal; and his nephew, Coy Danison of Auxvasse, Mo. He is also survived by three aunts, two uncles and numerous cousins.
Gary graduated from high school in 1981 and worked at Bonanza in Lincoln for 17 years. He has been currently employed with Schnucks for the past 15 years.
Gary was a train enthusiast who liked to travel to ride the steam engines of North America. He was also an avid collector of Star Trek, Mayberry and Grand Ole Opry memorabilia and loved the challenge of a jigsaw puzzle, the harder the better.
Anyone who knew Gary Ray recognized his kind heart and gentle soul. He lived his life with a ready smile and offered his friendship freely without hesitation.
Gary loved us well and brought us joy. Our hearts will always love him, and we will never stop missing our son, our brother, our uncle and our friend.
Marlene Sanders
Marlene Mildred Sanders, 82, Chatsworth, died at 1:16 p.m. June 15 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth with Pastor Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Twp. Cemetery, Wing.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be given to the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth; Chatsworth Township. Library or to the Community Cancer Center, Normal.
Mrs. Sanders was born Aug. 16, 1932 in Peoria, the daughter of Delmar and Azalea Willis Hirth. She married Vendell Lee Sanders on June 9, 1957 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 2012.
Survivors include her children, Glenn (Teresa) Sanders, Griffith, Ind., Cynthia (Jeff) Ifft, Fairbury, Keith (Kristin) Sanders, Rock Island, Bruce Sanders, Chatsworth, seven grandchildren, Brooke & Eric Sanders, Aaron (Courtney) Ifft, Craig (Colleen Harrington) Ifft & Ryan Ifft, four great grandchildren, Janessa & Jaida Wheatly, Rozalyn & Savannah Ifft, two sisters, Lois Deputy, Tucson, Ariz., Kate Smith, Moline, and one brother, Bill (Margaret) Hirth, Sebring, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her infant sister, Betty.
Mrs. Sanders taught elementary education for over 30 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth for over 50 years. She loved to read, bake and spending time with her grandchildren.
