BLOOMINGTON – Mother’s Day is just a few days away and the Kiwanis Club of Bloomington wants to make sure you’re prepared with a gift.
On Wednesday, the Service Club started its annual Mother’s Day flower sale. You can purchase flowers and some produce plants at the Shoppes at College Hills.
The flower sale is just one of several fundraisers for Bloomington Kiwanis and all fundraising proceeds go towards sending kids to Camp Limberlost.
David Besler with Kiwanis Club said, “Community is great. They know where the proceeds go do to help the kids in the community. So really, really good. I think people come year after year. I’ve been working at every year and I see familiar faces every year wanting to get the pots are a big seller. This way they have it already. They don’t have to buy individual plants or pot. It’s all done for them.”
The flower sale goes through Saturday and runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. till Friday. On Saturday, the sale goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
