SPRINGFIELD – The deadline is approaching for small businesses to apply for state recovery grants.
In the first round, $24 million has gone out, but another $226 million in funds to help businesses get back on track are still available.
“B to B Grants can be used to cover operational expenses like rent, payroll, working capital,” said Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Acting Director Sylvia Garcia. “And these are grants, not loans; you do not have to pay them back. That’s the best part; you don’t have to pay them back.”
The deadline to apply is Oct. 13. More information is available on the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s website for more details.
