SPRINGFIELD – Medical marijuana patients are increasing in Illinois.
The state added 300 new people to the list in April, bringing the total to 2,300. The Illinois Department of Public Health releases the updated numbers and said more than 20,000 people have logged on the web site to explore becoming a patient and about 3,000 have completed the process.
A health advisory board added 11 new health conditions that could be treated with medical marijuana including migraines and post-traumatic stress disorder.
