BLOOMINGTON – Authorities are still investigating the cause of a fatal fire Friday morning in Bloomington, but the fire isn't considered suspicious.
Interim Bloomington fire chief Les Siron said Monday the fire that killed Wilma Brown, 57, and injured her son started in the living room of their apartment at 710 1/2 W. Monroe St. Friday morning. The cause is unknown.
Siron says the estimated damage to the apartment building is $200,000.
