BLOOMINGTON – A 14-year old boy is under arrest and Bloomington Police are looking for a second suspect in a couple of armed robberies early Sunday on the city’s east side.
The first crime happened about 1:15 Sunday morning in the 26-hundred block of Hall Court. A victim told police someone wearing a hoodie-style sweatshirt demanded his wallet.
Officers reportedly saw the 14-year old running from the scene, but captured him after a foot chase, and found a replica handgun nearby.
Police said another officer who came to assist saw a distubance nearby and someone breaking a car window in the 26-hundred block of Mahogany Drive. The officer could not catch the second suspect, but learned a second hold-up occurred.
A female victim told police two people displayed handguns and demanded money. She then locked the door of her vehicle, prompting one of the robbers to punch out a her car window before running from the scene.
The second suspect is believed to be a black male, about five-foot-eight, thin, wearing a gray, hoodie sweatshirt, and dark pants.

The 14-year old is being held in the McLean County Juvenile Detention Center.
