Judge sets trial date for accused murderer Mellor

BLOOMINGTON – A 30-year-old Bloomington woman accused of murdering her husband faces a jury trial in mid-May.

Former Bloomington High School teacher Sarah Mellor is charged with first degree murder in Woodford County for allegedly killing Mark Mellor, 31, in a campsite near Carlock. The incident took place in October 2016.

A judge in Woodford County on Tuesday set a jury trial to begin May 15 and a pre-trial hearing for March 28.
