BLOOMINGTON – A $1 million investment is being made in west Bloomington by Habitat for Humanity of McLean County.
Spokeswoman Liz Mikel said starting next month the charity will be renovating and making changes to the Habitat Restore on west Washington Street in Bloomington.
“Ultimately, it’s to tear down a few buildings that are just old due to age and wear and tear and rebuild and expand the square footage of the ReStore,” said Mikel. “Ultimately so that we can increase proceeds which actually increases the funding for what Habitat for Humanity does in McLean County.”
It’s hoped the Restore Renewal will spur continued action by the community to renew the neighborhood.
