WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today marks the 15th anniversary of a day that changed the lives of Americans all across the nation.
In accordance with the memories of loss that come with the day, U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) released the following statement:
“Fifteen years have passed since our towers fell but we will never forget the lives lost, the heroes who risked everything for their fellow Americans, how our country emerged from that dreadful day stronger and more united than ever before. While we will never forget how we felt that day, we must also remember the vow we made to fight terrorism and anyone who seeks to destroy our way of life. We must commemorate this day by being more vigilant in our fight against ISIS, more meticulous at protecting our homeland, and an even brighter beacon of freedom and democracy for the rest of the world.”
