
John W. Orendorff, 60, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:52 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
His funeral will be at Noon, Monday, September 12, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington with Rev. Jeff Windy officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Monday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

John was born November 4, 1955 in Bloomington, the son of John R. and Maurita J. Rodgers Orendorff.
He is survived by two sisters, Theresa (Dwayne) Greiner of Normal and Geri Schumacher of Peoria; four brothers, Joseph (Charlotte), Stephen and Christopher (Vicky) Orendorff, all of Bloomington and William (Marcia) Orendorff of Benicia, CA; 23 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Thomas R. Orendorff and a sister, Kathleen Fagerburg.
Johnny loved to color, watch cartoons, listen to music and play games on his iPad. He was a special blessing to our family, and brought joy to those who knew him through the years.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff and caretakers of Marcfirst (Marc Center) and Liberty Village of LeRoy for all their years of service caring for Johnny, and all the doctors, nurses and staff at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center for the outstanding care they provided during his recent illness these last few months.
