BLOOMINGTON – A doctor from Bloomington will make an appearance in Federal Court Wednesday in an effort to order the Illinois State Board of Elections to print David Gill’s name on the November Ballot.
He will explain the case To WJBC’s Terry James before the hearing on AM 1230.
Gill is attempting to run as an independent in the 13th Congressional district. Earlier this month, Gill came on WJBC and explained what he said was an unfair need to gather more signatures that Republican or Democratic candidates that want to be on the ballot.
Gill is up against incumbent Republican Rodney Davis and Decatur Democrat Mark Wickland. They needed just under 750 signatures to be on the ballot. Gill needs to gather nearly 11,000 signatures.
