BLOOMINGTON – A probable case of the West Nile Virus has been found in McLean County.
The McLean County Health Department said the Illinois Department of Public Health determined this week a resident of the county has a probable case. A mosquito pool and a bird collected by the county earlier this summer also confirmed the presence of West Nile.
McLean is one of 39 counties in Illinois to have confirmed West Nile activity this year. Five human cases of the virus have been found, but there have been no deaths.
