SPRINGFIELD – A group of Illinois Democrats and Republicans is forming a task force to study the way state funding is given out to schools.
Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) announced on Thursday that the bipartisan task force will try to find out how schools will be affected if changes are made to the general state aid formula.
Currently, two bills are being pushed in the Senate that would overhaul the distribution of funding for schools.
