BLOOMINGTON – Severe weather struck McLean and the surrounding counties Wednesday evening.
In an area just north of Normal, a listener reported that a large tree fell. Several large tree limbs were reported in south Normal. Another large tree fell in Colfax.
More than 500 McLean county residents lost power as winds were gusting up to 70 miles per hour. Ameren Illinois reported tens of thousands without power in Central Illinois.
The storm moved quickly out of the area leaving behind downed trees and power lines in Central Illinois.
