BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington-Normal Kroger stores are holding a food drive to benefit the Bloomington Salvation Army during July.
“Every summer, we always have a shortage of food and we actually have to go ahead and order food to fill up the pantry,” said Salvation Army Director of Development Angie Fulton. “So Kroger partnered with us to, hopefully, fill up that need.”
Fulton said the stores will have pre-packed bags available at check-out which can be purchased to donate to the food pantry. She added the food pantry itself is always accepting donations at its location at 611 West Washington Street.
