NORMAL – Rowe Construction will close Old U.S. Route 66 between Towanda Avenue and Airport Road to through traffic from July 11 -15, weather permitting, for fire hydrant relocation.
The project was initially scheduled to begin on June 27 but was delayed two weeks.
A detour route will be posted via Towanda Avenue to Fort Jesse Road then to Veteran’s Parkway in Normal to Interstate 55 north to the Towanda exit to County Highway 29 back to Old Route 66.
