Man from Normal charged after missing teen found in Arkansas

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County prosecutors have charged a man from Normal who was found with an endangered missing teen in Little Rock, Ark. 

Donald 'Bruce' Quesenberry is in custody after he reportedly met up with a 16-year-old girl in Virginia. 

The two of them were found safe in Arkansas and he was taken into custody in Little Rock just after midnight Friday. 

McLean County State's Attorney Jason Chambers has charged Quesenberry with stealing a car and a credit card from an acquaintance before he left for Virginia on Sunday.

"We don't know if any other people have any offense they can hold this guy on. We do, so let's get it on file," Chambers said. "Kind of like getting Al Capone on tax evasion."
 
Chambers said Quesenberry could be extradited to Illinois to face those charges, but said he's willing to see if authorities in Virginia or Arkansas plan to file any charges.

Both charges are felonies. A warrant with a bond in the amount of $100,000 was issued for his arrest. â€‹McLean County has 30 days to extradite him. 

A man purported to be Quesenberry posted on Facebook that the girl is safe: "I would never hurt her in any shape, form or fashion. I've asked her to go home several times and she won't."

Police in Virginia had been on the hunt for the girl for three days before learning of her whereabouts.
