Kellie Pickler headlines 2015 Evening of Stars

NORMAL – Country music singer and songwriter Kellie Pickler is coming to Normal on April 15 for the Red Cross' 2015 Evening of Stars. Event co-chair Colleen Kannaday said fans in the area will like Pickler.

"Country has broad appeal, and I think whether people know her from her days on "American Idol" or even Dancing With The Stars or if they know her in terms of the country music she's produced, I think she'll have broad appeal in this community," Kannaday said.

Fellow co-chair Kim Kannaday said Pickler's support of the troops, including her seven USO trips and support of the Wounded Warrior Project, is the reason the Red Cross feels

Pickler's album "100 Proof" was named the number one country album of 2011 by Rolling Stone Magazine. She also won "Dancing With The Stars" in 2013. Tickets for the show at the Marriott in Uptown Normal are available by calling the Red Cross' Bloomington office at 309-662-0500 starting in mid-February.
