Stephen Grunwald

Stephen K. Grunwald, 85, of Carlock, passed away at 1:23 p.m. Jan. 16 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

His Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Stanislaus Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. followed by Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Maspeth, NY. Memorials may be made to Pets Without Parents, P.O. Box 166, Easton, Ill. 62633. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington assisted the family with arrangements.

Stephen was born on Jan. 1, 1930 in Grajewo, Poland, a son of Szczepan and Josephine Szymanski Grunwald. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen S. Grunwald.

He is survived by a daughter, Jeanette (Stephen) Stewart of Carlock.

Preceding him in death is a son, Stephen M. Grunwald.

Stephen was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served during the Korean Conflict.

Larry Williams

Larry L. Williams, 61, of Gardner, passed away at 7:55 a.m., Jan. 17 at Asta Care Center of Bloomington.

Larry was born on June 7, 1953 in Tutwiler, Mississippi, the son of Ernest and Wylodine Hood Williams. He married Debra Kibler on Nov. 10, 1973 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She survives.

He is also survived by his mother, Wylodine Williams of Grenada, Mississippi, three children, Dina (Chris) Gibson of Normal, Larry (Danielle) Williams II of Fall River, Wisc. and Jessica Williams of Normal; five grandchildren, Tyler, Cheyanne, Andrew, Ashlyn and Davin; two sisters, Toni (Ken) Courtwright of Crowley, Texas and Barbara (Danny) Hill of Tillatoba, Mississippi; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Carolyn Gail Williams.

Larry was a machinist for Caterpillar in Joliet for over thirty years. 

Larry loved baseball and was a Chicago Cubs fan.  He enjoyed playing baseball himself as well as coaching all of his children.  Larry thoroughly enjoyed watching Westerns, and was especially a fan of John Wayne.  Spending time with his family was most important to Larry.  He will be dearly missed.
