BLOOMINGTON – Last month was the third-wettest November on record in Illinois.
Total statewide precipitation was two inches higher than average, coming in at 5.6 inches. Much of that was rain but also plenty of snow thanks to a storm the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Last month was also the 10th warmest November on record in Illinois, with an average temperature of 46 degrees. State Climatologist Jim Angel said December will likely be warmer than usual as well.
