CHICAGO – The disciplinary hearing for two McLean County judges accused of covering up their affair has started.
Judge Scott Drazewski explained his side of things Monday at the Illinois Supreme Court building in Chicago.
He admitted to having an affair with judge Rebecca Foley that started in Decmeber 2010.
Drazewski is accused of failing to recuse himself from several cases involving attorney Joe Foley, who was then the husband of Rebecca Foley. She’s accused of purposely covering up the affair to avoid any punishment.
Both Drazewski and Foley have divorced from their spouses since the affair.
The hearing is expected to continue tomorrow.
