The St. Louis Cardinals will try to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Chicago Cubs when the two team meet at Busch Stadium this afternoon.
The After losing six out of their first seven games in St. Louis this season, the Cubs have outscored the Cardinals 17-5 in taking the first two games of the series.
Carlos Martinez (13-7) will pitch for the Cardinals against Cubs’ lefthander Jon Lester (9-10).
