LEROY – The McLean County Coroner’s office says the remains of an unborn fetus were found near Dawson Lake last week.
Coroner Kathleen Davis says authorities were called to the scene Thursday around 4:10 p.m about the remains. She said a preliminary autopsy indicates the baby died as part of a miscarriage.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Office and Illinois State Police responded to the scene.
